Welcome to the TheDataWeb
"A framework for networking and using data"

Moving from data dissemination to data intelligence on the desktop for relevant for decision-making

Data is too difficult to use. Data driven decisions are often difficult to achieve because:

  1. Finding the right data to use is often confusing.
  2. Finding the right way to use the data correctly is very time-consuming.
  3. Finding inexpensive tools that help you manipulate and integrate data easily and properly are nearly impossible.
  4. Finding tools that allow you to create interactive WEB 2.0 websites are difficult and expensive.
  5. Data is organized in different ways, every time that a report is done a new copy of the data needs to be downloaded organized for that report and updated regularly. Data is usually out of date and difficult to reuse. The internet does not network datasets together well.

The DataWeb Framework is designed to solve these issues

The DataWeb Framework is composed of three parts:

  • DataFERRETT A web-based analytical workspace
  • HotReports : A website builder that uses any of the networked data in the DataWeb. It allows you the ability to build websites on focused topics or issues. It encourages reuse of data, so that your data can be used in multiple websites at once while only being maintained and updated once.
  • DataWeb Webservices The computer plumbing that networks all the data together.
