Chapter 3 - System Requirements

Computer

• IBM PC or 100% compatible computer with a Pentium 100Mhz processor. Pentium 200 Mhz or higher is recommended.
• 32MB of RAM. 64MB or higher is recommended
• compatible mouse
• Windows 95 or higher

Drives

• 11MB available disk space.
• (Optional) 4XCDROM for installing the tutorial and Java plug-in from the DataFerrett cd (13.8MB)

Monitor

• SVGA monitor with a minimum setting of 800 x 600

Connectivity

• 56KBps is the minimum recommended internet connection for comfortable use.

Email Login

The email login serves several purposes. Should you wish to be on an email list with the latest DataFerrett updates, the information will be forwarded to your email account. Also, the email login provides you the option of performing a DataFerrett job (containing large amounts of data) in batch mode that can be emailed to you upon completion. Upon completion of the job, you will be emailed with information about where you can obtain your file.
