1. First(time), click here to run DataFerrett JAVA Applet Security/Permissions (to Save/Copy/Paste)
2.  Click here to Launch DataFerrett applet. Preferred Method.

Try the BetaDataFerrett (Desktop Application)

1. Select the sidebar link BetaDataFerrett App to download the installation program.



2. Choose SAVE to download the install program TO YOUR Windows DESKTOP
3. This Icon will be put onto your DESKTOP (approximately 13MB) Please have this amount of space available and consider your connection speed when you are downloading.
4. Locate the above icon on your DESKTOP and double-click to start the installation process.
5. Follow the DataFerrett InstallShield wizard to complete the setup process
6. The install will put the DataFerrett icon on your DESKTOP
7. Double click on the DataFerrett icon to start the DataFerrett Application
8. Log into DataFerrett using your exact email address.
9. Take the Getting Started with DataFerrett tour
10. Refer to the DataFerrett Users' Guide which has indepth details of DataFerrett.

Have Firewall/Software Installation Restrictions? Get the DataFerrett Applet

Users that have firewall restrictions or for computers requiring a System Administrator to install applications onto their computer can install the DataFerrett Applet.

Launch DataFerrett

The Dataferrett Applet runs from an internet browser. Run FerretSecurity Policy first. Or you also have to set up your own DataFerrett Permissions/Policy File or Windows "permissions" file. This gives DataFerrett permission to copy and paste to the Windows Clipboard and save your DataFerrett session (databasket and tabulation) for retrieval and use at a later date. This you will install to your Windows folder (see below).

DataFerrett Applet Install Instructions

1. Most computers today come with a JAVA Runtime Environment (JRE). If you don't have one click here to Download the JAVA Runtime Environment
2. DataFerrett Permissions/Policy File / Set up the Windows Permission/Policy File Save the ".java.policy" file and place it into the following Windows directory depending on your operating system and system setup:

   C:\Windows\Profiles\username on multiuser Windows 95 and 98 systems

   C:\Windows on single-user Windows 95 and 98 systems

   C:\WINNT\Profiles\username on Windows NT, XP

   C:\Documents and Settings\username on Windows 2000, XP
